Peter is General Counsel for J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management.  In this capacity, Peter oversees a global team of attorneys and professionals dedicated to supporting AWM in servicing our clients and in advising on a broad range legal, regulatory, and reputational matters.  

Peter joined the company in 2019 as the General Counsel for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and his responsibilities expanded in April 2023 to include all of AWM.  Peter has been in the industry since 1996, and has previously held positions at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, Dechert LLP, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and, most recently, Allianz Global Investors.

Peter serves on multiple committees including the Asset & Wealth Management Operating Committee, the Asset Management Operating Committee, and the firmwide Legal Management Team.

Peter earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and received his JD from the American University’s Washington College of Law. He is an active member of the New York and District of Columbia bars.
