Common questions

Account Access Q & A

Can I use Account Access?

If you hold an account directly with J.P. Morgan Funds, Account Access is for you.

Why should I use Account Access?

Account Access gives shareholders the ability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to view information on their funds. You can view your statements and tax forms, view the funds in your account, add new funds, exchange shares, make a redemption, change your address, check the cost basis of your fund, and more.

How do I sign up for Account Access?

The first thing you must do is select the "Register" button under New User. You will need the last four digits of your Social Security Number, your account number and then select a fund you hold in your account. Create your User ID with at least one numeric and one letter characters. The minimum length for User ID is 8 characters.

Why 128 bit security?

J.P. Morgan is concerned about the security of your transactions. Our success as a financial institution depends on our ability to manage these systems safely and to continue to earn your trust as our customer. By requiring 128-bit encryption, we are assuring the highest level of commercially available security for your financial transactions.

How do I check my browser to make sure it is compliant?

To check your browser's version and encryption level, follow the steps below. Even if you are not using our account access feature, you may still want to upgrade to the 128-bit secure versions of your browser. This will enable you to use all the functionality of our site and others. You can find these browser security updates at Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Internet Explorer:

  • Look under the Help menu and select About Internet Explorer, this will display both the browser's version and cipher strength (level of encryption).

Firefox:

  • Look under the Help menu and select About Mozilla Firefox. This will display information similar to the following: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4. After the platform information (Windows or Macintosh) there will be either a "U" or an "I." A "U" indicates that you are using the U.S. version, with sufficient (128-bit) encryption. An "I" indicates you are using the international version, which has a lower encryption level (40-bit), and should therefore upgrade.

Cancel Orders

How do I cancel a pending transaction?

Certain transactions processed online are able to be cancelled on the Pending Transactions page. If you require assistance, please call a Shareholder Services representative at 1-800-480-4111. Our representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm ET. If the pending transaction is not cancelled before market close on the same business day, the trade will be processed.

Buy

This screen allows you to buy (purchase) shares into your existing J.P. Morgan account by taking money out of your bank account through an ACH (Automated Clearing House) transaction. Bank account (ACH) information must be established for your account before selecting this option. If it has not been established, contact Shareholder Services at 1-800-480-4111 for assistance or download and complete the Account Maintenance Request Form

2. Type the dollar amount to be added to your account in the field to the right of each fund selected.

Note:

The transaction amount may be limited by the prospectus. If you receive a message that refers to a minimum or maximum dollar value, adjust your transaction to the amount displayed. You may also contact Shareholder Services to proceed with your transaction.

Note:

A prospectus contains information about the Fund that you should know before investing. In addition to reading the prospectus before investing into the fund, you should retain it for future reference.

If you are buying shares for an IRA account, select the year that the contribution should be assigned to in the drop-down box.

Note:

This option will appear only if you are buying shares for an IRA account and the current date is prior to the deadline for filing your tax return. This option is significant in determining the amount of your contributions that are tax-deferred. For example, if today's date is March 15th, 2014, you may make a purchase into your retirement account for the previous year (2013).

3. If you are adding a new fund to your account, add the fund(s) by clicking "Add Fund."

All funds that you are eligible to invest in will be listed. Select the fund(s) you would like to add to your account by clicking Add Fund. Note:

In the case of adding a new fund to your account, the registration, address, and dividend option information for the new account will be copied from your existing account. Any Systematic Investment or Withdrawal Plans that you may have running will not be copied to the new fund. For example, if your current account with J.P. Morgan is a retirement account, the new account will automatically be established as a retirement account with the same registration. This copy process ensures that the information on your account is accurate and that the appropriate account security is maintained. If you need to change any of this information, contact Shareholder Services at 1-800-480-4111.

4. Select the payment method you wish to use for this purchase. 5. Verify that all of the information for your purchase is correct on Step 3 Verify. Click the Submit button. The Buy Confirmation page will be displayed.
