Chaoping Zhu, Executive Director, is a Global Market Strategist based in Shanghai. As a part of the Global Market Insights Strategy team, Chaoping is responsible for formulating and communicating the market outlook and investment views across Asia. He is also widely quoted by financial media, including Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Yicai, and China Securities Journal.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2017, Chaoping served as China Economist at UOB Kay Hian, covering macroeconomy, government policy and financial market development in China. He also served as Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution and Tudor Investment Corporation.

Chaoping obtained a Master in Economics from Nanjing University and a Master of Arts (International Relations) from the Johns Hopkins University-SAIS. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
