Chate Benchavitvilai, executive director, is a country specialist for Vietnam and Thailand equities, and a member of the ASEAN team within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities team based in Singapore. He joined the firm in 2017 from Credit Suisse AG where he was the head of research of Asia Frontier Markets. He began his career in the industry at Credit Suisse AG in 2006 where he was an equity analyst covering Asian Telecoms for 9 years. Chate obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
