Ryan Szakacs is a Managing Director and Head of J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s ETF Capital Markets group. He is responsible for managing the group’s broker dealer and exchange relationships, overseeing all trading activity across its suite of products, implementing structural efficiencies across the platform, and delivering market insights and trading guidance to J.P. Morgan’s clients.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Szakacs led retail client coverage for BlackRock’s ETF Capital Markets team and was also a portfolio manager and trader on their Equity Index and iShares ETF platforms. Before joining BlackRock, he spent several years at both the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission focused on ‘40 act regulation and Goldman Sachs in their Hedge Fund Strategies group.

Mr. Szakacs earned his MBA degree from Duke University and holds the Series 7, 63, 55, and 3 licenses. He is Head of SIFMA’s AMG ETF committee, and a member of both ICI’s and J.P. Morgan’s Equity Market Structure committee and is a former Board member of The Security Traders Association of New York (STANY).
