Marina Valentini

In this role, Marina is responsible for delivering timely market and economic insights to institutional and retail clients across Latin America, conducting research on the global economy and capital markets, and running economic forecasts. She is also part of the team which is responsible for publications such as the Guide to the Markets – Latin America and other Market Insights publications.

Marina joined the firm in 2019 as a Client Advisor in the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Mexico team based in Mexico City. In this role, Marina was involved in the development of the local operations in Mexico and responsible for offering the firm’s global capabilities in a variety of asset classes, strategies and vehicles to Mexican clients including Pensions Funds, Mutual Fund Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices and Corporates.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Marina was a Latin America Economist within the HSBC Global Research Team based in Mexico City with a particular focus on Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay and Costa Rica. During her time at HSBC, Marina also worked in the US Economics Research team based in New York and held placement roles within the G10 and Latam FX Strategy and the Latam Fixed Income Strategy teams.

Marina earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.A in International Relations with High Honors from New York University. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
