Is investing in Asia about more than just China?
The Asia region is home to 32% of global growth, 47% of the global population, five of the ten largest stock exchanges in the world, 29% of the global bond universe, and 29% of all unicorns worldwide. This quarter, we’ll be launching the Guide to Investing in Asia, an expansion of the former Guide to China. This new, extended guide will cater to investors interested in tapping into the dynamic and rapidly growing economies of the entire Asian region, beyond just the Chinese landscape. Guide to Investing in Asia will dive deep into the diverse economies and emerging investment trends across various Asian countries, including Japan, India, China, North Asia and Southeast Asia. Key issues for investors to consider include:
- What drives different economies in the region and how is this changing?
- How should investors think about the different sectors, quality and returns available in individual markets? How does regulation towards foreign investors differ?
- What do Asian investments bring to global portfolio construction?
- Is there is still an investment case for Japanese equities?
- Are investors too pessimistic about China and optimistic about India?
- What investment opportunities exist in the rest of Asia?
