James Peagam is responsible for delivering the combined, integrated offering of the firm to our insurance clients globally, and to all Institutional clients across Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, he is a member of the Asset Management Operating Committee. James previously managed the North American Institutional business in parallel to Insurance, and the European region for Global Insurance Solutions before that.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, James was Head of EMEA Sales Strategy for BlackRock’s Financial Institutions Group. Prior to that, he was a Director at RBS/ABN AMRO, covering the insurance sector as an originator for capital markets and commercial banking. Earlier in his career, he was a design and field engineer working on infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom, West Africa and South Africa.

James earned a B.Sc. degree in Geomatic Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an M.B.A in Finance from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
