Shumin Huang, managing director, is the Head of Emerging Asia Research within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities Team, based in Hong Kong. An employee since 2006, Shumin was previously the Head of Research for Greater China equities within the EMAP Equities Team. Prior to that, Shumin spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, where she was managing director and head of the Asia-Pacific Energy and Chemicals Team. She began her career with UBS Taiwan in 1992 as a research analyst, after which she transferred to Hong Kong as director and head of Asia-Pacific chemicals research. Shumin obtained a B.S. in Business Administration from the National Taiwan University and an M.B.A. from London Business School.
