May 2018 - The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
What is the GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), coming into effect on 25 May 2018, will replace the Data Protection Act 1998, which was brought into law as a way to control how personal information is used by organisations.
The General Data Protection Regulation seeks to give you further control over how organisations use your data and is a positive step to continue to ensure that your data is processed in a fair and lawful manner.
How will you benefit from the GDPR?
Giving you more transparency
We will provide greater detail to you about the categories of personal data that we may collect on you and the reasons why we collect this data (e.g. providing services to you, conducting marketing activities and complying with applicable law).
Providing greater visibility
Giving you more control
We will provide you with information about your legal rights under the Regulation (e.g. the right to request access to your data, the right to object to processing your data, and the right to deletion) together with an explanation of how those rights can be exercised.
The value of your investments and the income from them can go down and up, and you may not get back as much as you paid in.
In order to make an informed investment decision, investors should ensure that they obtain all relevant information before making any investment. Investment is subject to applicable documentation including Investor Disclosure Document, Key Investor Information Document (KIID), Prospectus and Key Features and Terms and Conditions.
