Masaki Uchida, executive director, is a country specialist for Japan equities and a member of the Japan team within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities team based in Tokyo. An employee since 2003, he started his career in Tokyo with the Strategic Investment Advisory Group (SIAG) as a quantitative analyst for a year. Then he transferred to the Japan Research Driven team and become a key figure in a variety of analysis helping to improve active investment and portfolio risk control. He also spent three years in the London office as a portfolio manager in the International Structured Equity group, managing Research Enhanced Index (REI) products. Masaki obtained PhD in Economics from Osaka University, specializing in quantitative finance. He is a CFA charterholder.
