Chaoping Zhu
Vice President, Global Market Strategist
Chaoping Zhu, Vice President, is a Global Market Strategist based in Shanghai. As a part of the Global Market Insights Strategy team, Chaoping is responsible for formulating and disseminating J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s views on the market, economy and investing to financial advisors and investors across Asia. He also appears on international and local financial media, including the Wall Street Journal, Associated Free Press, and Yicai.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2017, Chaoping served as China Economist at UOB Kay Hian, covering macroeconomic, government policy and financial market developments in China, and delivering his analysis and investment recommendations to institutional clients of the investment bank. He also served as a Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution and Tudor Investment Corporation.
Chaoping obtained a Master of Economics from Nanjing University, a Master of Arts (International Relations) from the Johns Hopkins University-SAIS, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Bioengineering) from Nanjing University and China Pharmaceutical University. Chaoping is a CFA charterholder.
