Your ESG.id was generated based on the decisions you made. We took your choices and put them through a calculation engine, backed by behavioural economics, to understand where your sustainability preferences lie.
You were first presented with the following five sustainable investing themes, which encompass the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Addressing climate change
Protecting natural resources
Increasing diversity and inclusion
Supporting people’s basic needs
Behaving ethically
Next, in each of the five “decision rounds”, you were asked to allocate your money between two of the five themes by moving the slider to your preferred allocation. In each round, one theme had a financial incentive attached to it called the Choice Challenger, which showed us whether you prioritise investing in a particular sustainable investing theme, or if you are focused on making the broadest sustainable investing impact possible across all the themes.
The Choice Challenger provided a financial incentive to allocate more money towards one theme, giving a $0.50 match for every $1 you put into that theme, and rotated between the themes throughout the activity to test your conviction level towards each theme.
Your choices across the decision rounds gave a view of your sustainable investing preferences.
If you heavily favoured one theme over the others, both with and without the Choice Challenger, then you would have received a corresponding ESG.id. So, if you heavily favoured the theme of addressing climate change, for example, you would have received the “Climate Champion” ESG.id.
If instead, you had a balanced preference towards each of the five themes, then you would have received the “Sustainability Champion” ESG.id.
You can use MyESG.id as a starting point for aligning your investments with your sustainability preferences.
