The strategy has been constructed to target a significant reduction in weighted average carbon intensity relative to an investment grade benchmark, while maintaining yield, duration and quality in line with the benchmark.

Case study example: Carbon Transition ETF

Working in conjunction with a defined contribution master trust and investment platform, we have been able to provide plan members with access to the JPM Carbon Transition Global Equity (CTB) UCITS ETF.

This innovative ETF strategy is aligned with the European Union’s Climate Transition Benchmark framework, meaning it will be at least 30% less carbon intensive than the market average and reduce its own carbon footprint by at least 7% per year.

Adding this ETF to the plan’s investment options helped the plan with its objective to offer more investments with a sustainability focus, while meeting increasing demands from plan members for investments that offer climate solutions.
