WHAT DOES J.P. MORGAN FUNDS DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Why? Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.
What? The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
  • Social Security number and account balances
  • transaction history and account transactions
  • checking account information and wire transfer instructions
When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.
How? All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. What we do
How does J.P. Morgan Funds protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. We authorize our employees to access your information only when they need it do their work and we require companies that work for us to protect your information.
How does J.P. Morgan Funds collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you:
  • open an account or provide contact information
  • give us your account information or pay us by check
  • make a wire transfer
We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates and other companies.
Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only
  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • J.P. Morgan Funds does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint Marketing A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
  • J.P. Morgan Funds doesn’t jointly market.
Tools to Help You Protect Your Privacy
Marketing Lists

Consumers may choose to limit the marketing they receive through the mail, telephone or by e-mail. If you would like to reduce the amount of advertising you receive from other companies, send a written request to the Direct Marketing Association at the appropriate address listed below. Identity Theft

If someone has used your personal identification to fraudulently establish credit, report the incident as quickly as possible to each of the credit reporting agencies and request that a fraud alert be placed in your file.

Obtain a copy of your credit report from each of the credit reporting agencies. Check to see whether any additional accounts were opened without your consent or unauthorized charges were billed to your accounts. To request copies of your credit reports call:

Contact the Social Security Administration's Fraud Hotline at 800-269-0271 to report the unauthorized use of your personal identification information.

Contact your State Department of Motor Vehicles to see whether the Department has issued an unauthorized license number in your name. If so, notify them that you are a victim of identity theft.

File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by contacting the FTC's Identity Theft Hotline by telephone: 1-877-IDTHEFT; TDD: 202-326-2502; by mail: Identity Theft Clearinghouse, Federal Trade Commission, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20580 or online: www.ftc.gov/idtheft. J.P. Morgan Funds Web Site Privacy Statement

For each visitor to our web pages, our web server automatically recognizes the consumer's domain name and e-mail address. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail. We also aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit. We collect information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information.

The information we collect is used to:

  1. Improve the content of our sites;
  2. Customize the content and/or layout of our pages for each individual consumer;
  3. Notify consumers about updates to our web site (if you have asked to be notified of updates or new releases); and

Any information we obtain on the web site is not shared with other organizations.
