Volatility has picked up meaningfully in 2022, with the S&P 500 seeing a correction of -18% from its January 3rd peak and a -10% drop in U.S. aggregate bonds. As a result, a 60/40 portfolio is down 12%, the worst return since 2008 and only the second year with a double-digit negative return in 50 years. What should investors do?
