Geoff Barker, Managing Director, is the Market Manager for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in the Rockies. In this role, he manages a team of 70 Bankers, Investment Specialists, Capital Advisors, trust and estate attorneys and Client Service Specialists who provide broad-based wealth management services to clients in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Western North Dakota. Prior to his current role, Geoff was a banker, responsible for overseeing $5BN of client positions.
Geoff joined the firm from the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs in 2006. Prior to working at Goldman, Geoff served as an infantry officer in the United States Marines Corps. During his time on active duty, Geoff led a platoon in combat and commanded at the company level: serving in the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. Geoff holds several personal decorations and the Combat Action Ribbon.
Geoff received his M.B.A. in Finance and Economics at Indiana’s Kelley School of Business. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in History.
Geoff lives in Greenwood Village, Colorado, with his wife and two children. He is the Vice Chairman of the Levy Foundation, on the board of directors for National Jewish Health, and on the Colorado Council of Phoenix MultiSport.
