Matthew Moore is a Managing Director, Senior Banker and Team Lead for the Carolinas. As the founding Advisor of the Charlotte office, Mr. Moore delivers wide-ranging financial advice across investments, credit, banking, fiduciary and estate planning for many complex clients throughout the Southeast region of the United States. He is also responsible for guiding the firm’s business strategy throughout the Carolinas.
Mr. Moore joined J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 1999, serving until 2004 as a Banker in New York and Atlanta. From 2004 through 2009, Mr. Moore served as a Global Investment Specialist in Atlanta. In this role, Mr. Moore directed the construction, implementation and oversight of client portfolios. Mr. Moore was also charged with developing and coordinating the execution of transactions in derivative securities, foreign exchange, and alternative investments. Since late 2009, Mr. Moore has been responsible for leading the firm’s practice in the Carolinas.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Moore represented professional baseball players as a member of Reich Katz & Landis Baseball Group from 1995 to 1998. Reich Katz & Landis is a leading sports agency and representation firm founded in 1969 by Thomas M. Reich.
Mr. Moore earned his B.A. in Economics (1995) and M.B.A. (2000) from the University of Virginia. During college, Mr. Moore was a four‐year letterman for Virginia’s varsity baseball team. Mr. Moore is a licensed securities professional (Series 7, 63) and an employee of both J.P. Morgan Securities, LLC and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Along with his wife and two children, Mr. Moore lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
