Kam Shing Kwang is the Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she is responsible for building out and overseeing the private bank’s business and client base in the region. In addition, Ms. Kwang is also the firm’s Senior Country Officer for Hong Kong and plays a key role in facilitating local governance, controls, coordination across J.P. Morgan and fostering ongoing community engagement. In addition, she is a member of the J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific Executive Committee.
Prior to this position, Ms. Kwang was the Market Manager for Hong Kong, China and Sponsors, the Philippines & Thailand, where she was responsible for expanding the business presence and client base in these coverage markets. She was also previously Head of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Singapore and Head of Investments - South Asia of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Singapore, responsible for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia markets. Ms. Kwang was also the Head of Investment Management based in Hong Kong for 6 years before moving to Singapore. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Ms. Kwang served as the Head of Private Client Department (Singapore) for HSBC Asset Management Singapore Ltd. Prior experience included serving as an Associate Director at HSBC Asset Management HK Ltd., a Portfolio Manager at United Overseas Bank, Ltd., and as an Auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. Singapore.
Ms. Kwang holds the designation of CFA. She attended National University of Singapore where she received a BAcc (Hon) degree. Ms. Kwang has been named one of the leading female private bankers in Asia by the Global Investor Magazine.
