William Sinclair is a Managing Director and the New York Head of the Financial Institutions Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In his role as Market Manager, Mr. Sinclair leads a team of more than 100 professionals who advise some of Wall Street’s foremost leaders, money managers and dealmakers on all aspects of their wealth management. He and his team oversee over $50 billion in assets, advising and assisting clients on public and private investments, fixed income management, custody, credit and liquidity needs, and sophisticated estate and charitable planning.
Mr. Sinclair joined J.P. Morgan in 2007. Prior to taking his current role, he served as a Senior Private Banker, where he was responsible for analyzing client portfolios, conducting investment reviews, and managing client relationships. His primary focus was covering hedge fund managers and financial services executives, including advising five of the top J.P. Morgan Chase executives on their wealth management.
Mr. Sinclair received a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He serves on the Wake Forest College Board of Visitors and as the Co-Chair of the Wake Forest University Capital Campaign in New York. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County, serves on the Advisory Council for the Breast Cancer Alliance, and on the board of the Brunswick School Alumni Association. Mr. Sinclair holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 licenses. He resides in New York with his wife.
