This page looks at the European economy. In the left chart, the purple and grey lines show the year-over-year change in industrial production and exports in the eurozone respectively, indicators of industrial activity levels.
On the right, the purple and grey lines show the 3-month moving average of the year-over-year change of consumer confidence and retail sales in the eurozone respectively, indicators of the consumer strength. Both figures have risen significantly in 2021, but this is partially due to the base effect of very poor readings last year.
