The majority of the renewable electricity capacity that is expected to be added in the coming years will come from wind. The reality of the situation is, however, that as more electricity is generated by wind assets, larger turbines will be required. Increasingly, these large turbines are located off-shore, and the bigger they are, they deeper they need to be in the water. Servicing these assets can be complicated given their distance from shore. Some transportation assets can be used to house crews while they work on these offshore wind turbines.
