On this slide, we analyze the current gaps in renewable energy infrastructure in the United States. On left hand side, we illustrate the number EV charging stations across the country. As of the end of 2021, there were 114k EV charging points in the U.S., which is well below forecasts of more than 500k in 2025 and 800k in 2030. On the right-hand side, we the top 5 and bottom 5 states in terms of power balances. States such as California and Virginia, consume more electricity than they generate, while states like Pennsylvania and Alabama generate more electricity than they consume – both highlight the need for better grid connectivity in the U.S.
