Ongoing investment to drive diversity, equity and inclusion
Investing in communities around the world breaks down barriers and provides opportunities. By partnering with clients, we identify the values and benefits of diversity in the operation of our business and management of investments.
- Empowering Change Initiative which allows qualified U.S.-headquartered, minority-owned and diverse-led financial institutions Minority Depository Institution (MDIs) and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) to offer a new Empower money market share class to their customers, boost their technological capabilities through Morgan Money, and develop new, recurring revenue streams to support their long-term sustained growth, which in turn, will benefit their communities.
- Project Black is a co-investment between Ariel Investments and JPMAM that aims to close the racial wealth gap by investing in middle market businesses that are minority owned or will become minority owned, to forge a new class of Black and Latinx entrepreneurs. We’ll co-invest up to $200 million in the new initiative, as part of the Path Forward1.
- Project Spark launched in JPMAM Alternatives to provide capital to investment funds managed by diverse, emerging alternative managers, including minority-led and women-led venture capital funds and other private funds. The initiative includes $25 million in initial seed funding1.
